Writing Lab—Res Hall Tutoring

Writing Lab tutors will meet with you to brainstorm for paper topics, organize and focus a draft, develop research and editing skills, or help you analyze and improve your writing process. You can make your own Writing Lab appointments or call 882-2496 and we'll schedule appointments for you.

If you interested iun becoming a Writing Lab Tutor* and you meet the below requirements, please submit a Writing Lab tutor Application.
*Undergraduate students applying for this position must have first taken the prerequisite course, Honors 1070, Internship in the Writing Lab.
*Graduate students may also apply.
*Please note that additional materials must be submitted with this application.

  • Make an Appointment

  • Resident Hall Tutoring: Writing Lab tutors are available in the evening by appointment or walk in Tuesday through Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. in four residence halls:
    • PERSHING (Hitt St.—2nd floor computer lab)
    • ROLLINS (Hudson-Gillett—main lounge area)
    • RESPECT (Virginia Ave. Complex—ground floor computer lab)
    • CENTER (SW Complex—ground floor computer lab).
