How Staff Advisory Council Works for You![]() Rebecca Bergfield, SAC Chair The Staff Advisory Council (SAC) is here for you. We represent staff to University administration, encourage personal advancement through the Educational and Staff Development Award Programs, promote excellence through the Chancellor’s Outstanding Staff and the MU Service Champion awards, and most importantly, listen and truly hear the needs of staff members. We will continue to pursue our goals as we make administration aware of staff’s concerns over salaries and raises, encourage an “85 and out” retirement program and make improvements to the University’s dependant financial education assistance. The council does not limit its efforts to those goals alone; we try to address new issues as they arise. Please contact your council representative or the SAC office if you have input about how the council can serve you. Although the council does not function as a bargaining unit or a grievance committee, we are interested in issues that affect campus staff at large. We hope that you will agree that we are “working for you.” Find out more about the Council on the About SAC page. Mark your calendars for Visit the Calendar of Events to view Staff Recognition Week events.
