Chapter 2 Principles of Voluntary Leadership ![]() These Principles provide an understanding of what is leadership and how it works. The intent is to provide insight into the processes of leadership so that you can become an effective leader. These Principles were developed for students -- students of all ages and all types -- for use in classes, organizations and other settings. These Principles are useful in dorms, fraternities, sororities, informal work groups, as well as in boardrooms and communities. The only qualification is an interest in understanding voluntary leadership. I have opted for an outline format for brevity in stating the Principles and not elaboration and detail to keep this from become a dry academic tome of several hundred pages.
