An application of skill... A focus in news editing and publishing will create an opportunity for me to become well experienced as an editor in multiple scenarios. At The Missouri Review I have honed the ability to recognize a good story, and news editing gives me the skills to help take it to the next level. Both in the newsroom and outside, I have developed the ability to make science accessible. I have worked in External Affairs at the regional headquarters of U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service in Alaska, creating educational material among other items. Also for two years I worked with the Mizzou Hydrogen Car Team, writing newsletters to sponsors, creating press releases and editing their informational handouts. |
