Samuel Cohen teaches courses in twentieth- and twenty-first-century American literature at the University of Missouri (where he directs Graduate Studies) and is President of the Midwest Modern Language Association. He is the author of  After the End of History: American Fiction in the 1990s, co-editor (with Lee Konstantinou) of The Legacy of David Foster Wallace, and Series Editor of The New American Canon: The Iowa Series in Contemporary Literature and Culture. He is also author of 50 Essays: A Portable Anthology, coauthor of Literature: The Human Experience and writes the “Teaching Fiction” blog at Lit Bits.
