Used the Omeka open source content management system and the
Dublin Core Metadata element set to build and describe a digital
library of approximately 40,000 photojournalism images. Wrote
several programs involving a variety of computer scripting
languages and the MySQL database application to facilitate the
metadata description process. Used CSS and PHP to design the
theme of the Archive from scratch but thematically based on the
main Pictures of the Year International Web site.

Assisted with a two-part research and evaluation of the
Missouri Department of Transportation Web site. Researched and
outlined government best practices and usability standards,
evaluated and then provided an in-depth analysis of the Web site's
implementation of these guidelines with a comparison to other
state department of transportation Web sites. Designed and
conducted usability tests, analyzed test results, and provided the
Missouri Department of Transportation with a 221-page summary with
suggestions for future development.
