Welcome!Through a diverse offering of faculty, courses, visiting writers, interdisciplinary projects, writing prizes, publishing internships, student readings, and a unique commitment to the generative interrelationship between literary study and literary production, the Creative Writing Program is dedicated to enhancing our students' creative, literary, and professional lives. As the core unit for the interdisciplinary Center for the Literary Arts, the Program fosters a specifically grassroots approach to the role of the literary arts in our community and culture. New initiatives include a Hospital Arts program, serving hospitalized young people, and the Summer Seminars in Greece Program, serving undergraduate and graduate students from our program and other national creative writing programs. The Creative Writing Program is the 2001 recipient of the University's Outstanding Contributions to Graduate Education Award. Student Books
