Other Archaeological Sites
Archaeology on the Net : Home to the Archaeology on the Net Web Ring (which I am a member of), they also have numerous archaeology and ancient history links, though their Greek sites are still a little sparse. They also are the home of the Golden Trowel Award for the best archaeology sites on the web. !

The Mining Company - Archaeology - Greece : A great idea. List of sites in Greece in text format with the links to URL's related to those sites and a short description.  Hopefully more pages will pop up here. Also has links to Greek archaeologists' personal and professional sites.  !

Yesterday Today's Archaeology News Search : Archaeological news by NewsNow in the UK. Searches mainly British sources.

Other Academic Computer Projects on Greece

Metis : Terrific for getting a good idea of the archaeological sites of Greece if you have never been there.  If you have, you can just browse around places you have visited and reminisce.  Great idea.
Dr. J's Illustrated Sites of Greece : If you are looking for pictures of archaeological sites in Greece, look no further than Dr. J.  She has got plenty online now, and lots more on the way.
The Prehistoric Archaeology of the Aegean : Absolutely wonderful site.  Don't miss this one if you have any interest in Bronze Age Greece.  Too bad there are not more sites like this one!!!
Ancient City of Athens : Plenty of good photos of ancient sites in Athens. Been around a while too.
Computer reconstruction of the Palace of Nestor : online at the Antikensammlung Erlangen Internet Archive.
The Temple of Zeus : A VRML representation of the Temple of Zeus at Olympia. *
A Reconstruction of the Acropolis : A computer recreation of the Acropolis and south slope by ARCHIGRAF students at the Kyoto (Japan) Institute of Technology.  Not too bad for first year students. *
The Theater at Messene : A VR model of the theater at Messene has been recreated by the Department of Engineering at the University of Ferrara, to explore the application of virtual acoustics to the study of ancient theatres.  *
Recreating the Theater of Dionysus in Athens : Didaskalia site, uses images of a 3-D reconstruction of the Theater instead of the usual boring pictures (also has an introduction to Ancient Greek Theater).  *
Computer reconstruction of a "housemodel" : online at the Antikensammlung Erlangen Internet Archive (in German). *
