Need for Interactive Components
Because this is an all-CALS course, at least two interactive components must be added. It is a high school course, so production of interactives for this course will be done after any CALS university courses in production.

Ideas for Interactive Components
The author has included one to four practice exercises in most lessons. Many of these can be converted easily to fill-in-the-blank or multiple-choice quizzes delivered via Flash.

First Interactive Component:
Flash quiz, to be included with Lesson 11 (Subject and Verb Agreement)

Required Feedback
No feedback is required for the first part of the question except the correct answer. For the multiple-choice part, students who select the correct answer should receive the feedback "Yes, you are correct." Students who select the incorrect answer should receive the feedback "No, you are not correct."

The background color should be #E9F3D8. The color of the title, buttons, and directions (e.g., "Check Your Answer," "Continue") should be #789E34. Feedback text should be #990000. Please use black for all other text.

The word "Practice" on the title page, and the word "Continue" in the navigation, should be in the font CAC Moose; please use Arial for other text. Please use the graphic notebook.gif on the title page of the quiz, next to the title.
