There will be 38 lectures which includes three one-hour-exams and the final. Hence, we need to cover the material of 15 chapters in 34 lectures; that means, there are only 2-3 hours allocated for each chapter. We need to move fast and you need to study from the start to keep up with this pace! The following course schedule is preliminary and parts of the course might be lengthened or shortened as needed. Suggested reading and exercises & self-study are specified in the last two columns. Self-study assignments will be added as the semester progresses. You should read the assigned chapters before the lecture. We will omit parts of various chapters and appropriate announcements will be made in class. And remember: Chemistry can be great fun but good things never come easy!
