Chemistry 212

The development of this web site has been made possible in part by a grant "Development of Hypermedia Based Organic Chemistry Instruction" funded by the MU Institute for Instructional Design. We thank The Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation for a grant to develop and to disseminate the "Chemistry is in the News" project. Matching funds were provided by the MU PRIME Fund and the MU Department of Chemistry. At present, the "Chemistry is in the News" project is generously supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation.

The "Chemistry is in the News" web tool has been developed by Zhengyu "Martin" Wu as part of his graduate studies toward a doctoral degree in chemistry.

We thank the Campus Writing Program and Dr. Martha A. Townsend in particular for valuable advice and insightful and inspiring instruction that have helped to shape the writing components of this course.

Assessment and evaluations of newly integrated teaching technology and pedagogical methods have been provided by instructional designers Melissa Poole, M.S., and Dr. Deborah Hume.

We thank the members of the Chemical Education Advisory Committee, CEAC, for valuable feedback. The staff and the fellows of the MU Institute for Instructional Technology, MUIIT, of Educational Technologies at Missouri, ET@MO, and of the Wakonse Foundation continue to be welcome sources of inspiration.
