Q1, Q2 and Q5 worked very well and as expected. These questions are quite similar
to material that was part of your assignments and that showed up on earlier exams.

Q3 and Q4 dared to inquire about material that was covered more in the lecture (and
in handouts) and/or showed up less in earlier tests (in this form). Your answers
to these questions showed considerably more variation (see std. dev.) and lower
averages.

One part of Q3E3 was answered fully correct by only one student. That student
earned an extra 5 points; hence the high score of 28.5.

Overall, the average for Exam #3 turned out to be 70% and it is a little lower than
the class averages in Exams #1 and #2. The above table also lists information about
your cumulative performance in the course so far (3 exams & 9 assignments). Everybody
is above 65%, average is 80.5% and the standard deviation is 7.2%. All this is very
much in that target range.
