Hi Dr. G,

How's your summer going so far. Mine is going rather slow and sluggish...just killin' time here in St. Louis until my internship for Tyco Healthcare/Mallinckrodt starts. I'll be working in an Orgo Chem Lab with real docs. I am really excited about the whole thing. I'll be making protocols for their products using an IR spec. (which is something I got the opportunity to dabble in this past semester). I also will be categorizing products too. I'll be doing the mechanism and arrow pushing, and I'll even get to show my expertise in reactions. Thank you so much for teaching organic chemistry last semester. I learned a great deal about myself...how I study and don't study (haha)...and the experience even extrapolated into my everyday life outside of chemistry. I think that from the experience I've become a stronger and more disciplined student. Thanks once again. Keep in touch and I will do the same.

P.S. Check out this CIITN Item I ran across today http://www.msnbc.com/local/rtmo/senateappvirt.asp?vts=66200331242&cp1=1 They are finally getting rid of MTBE and using more ethanol to produce gas. More or less using maize to make the cars run. That's a great idea I'm wondering what took them so long??? (pun intended)
