AUNT EUNICE'S SHOO-FLY PIE


This is a cake-type shoo-fly pie recipe.



Mix ingredients for bottom and pour equal amounts into three 8-inch or two 9-inch unbaked pieshells. Cream sugar and shortening for top part and add flour to make crumbs. Measure out one cup of crumbs and set aside. Add the water, molasses, and baking soda to the remaining crumbs. Mix well. Evenly distribute the top mix between the pie shells. Sprinkle set aside crumbs on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes or until top bounces back to touch.
