- Student will gain an understanding of the practical and historical perspectives of computing, the Internet, and the World Wide Web, as specific subsets of Information Technology.

- Computer Components
- Student will be able to identify and define the functions of specific hardware components of a computer.
- Student will be able to identify and define the functions of specific software components of a computer.
- History of Computing
- Student will have knowledge of the history of computing.
- Student will be able to identify the shifting focus over the evolution of computing.
- Student will be able to identify and define key characteristics of the 4 Eras of Computing: Focus on Hosts/Systems, Focus on Networks, Focus on the Desktop Movement, and Focus on End Users.
- Student will gain an understanding of the relationship between factors in computing and in content creation.
