Shattered Heavens is designed and maintained by Sophie Dixon, an English major and, when she can find the time, an avid writer. She conceived the concept of Shattered Heavens as her final project for a web development course, and simultaneously a means to collect her varried writings in a single source. Partway through this project she realized that she had to do more than what she had originally set out to do, but to make a place where not only she could collect her writings, but anyone could put up anything they wanted.

Sophie majors in English, with an emphasis on creative writing, and has a diverse technical background, ranging from animation, html, and coding, as well as a smattering of arts. She writes under the pen name Autumn Renne (why on earth use a pen name but tell everyone what it is?) and refuses to settle on a single medium or genre. She believes that each one deserves a fair looking at, and that it doesn't matter how a story is told, so long as it is.

Our goal is to become a collective of authors, each submitting their own works and enjoying a shared readership. Not that we really expect many readers to begin with, at this point in time, but there's no reason to discount the possibility for the future. If someone actually takes us up on that offer, we may have to make a disclaimer for intelectual property rights and start being a bit more formal; only time will tell.
