I think you could call my computer and I two peas in a pod! I'm not sure that a day goes by that I'm not connected to my computer (and the Internet!) somehow, exploring what features and developments are popping up. But I'm not just a YouTube addict! There's another side of my personality as well. My training as a broadcast journalist has shown me the importance of details and telling a good story to deliver information. The combination of these two mindsets helps me think of all the possibilities that the web holds for someone like me – someone who can see even more opportunity and creativity for the web in collaboration with a credible, journalistic eye for worthwhile and newsworthy content.
Itís hard to find a company nowadays that doesnít have a website for its users to access content. However, itís not always easy to find a good website Ė a website with an inspired design and extra content that keeps users engaged. This is where I want to improve as much as I can. The web is an innovation, but one I find even more engaging as new, creative features may constantly be created and utilized.
Through the Missouri School of Journalism, Iíve gotten real-world experience in a working newsroom. Through my time working at KOMU-TV, Iíve learned my likes, dislikes, and passions. Most importantly, Iíve affirmed that I have a zeal to improve web content. I hope I can bring my enthusiasm and ideas to your company to create and improve upon the online users' experiences.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you!
