		Bachelor's Degree: May 2003, University of Montana Master's Degree: December 2005, University of Missouri-Columbia My research focuses on etiologic factors for alcohol-related behaviors in adolescents and young adults. I am interested in individual factors, such as, race, personality traits and cognitions, as they relate to alcohol use and alcohol-related problems. Recent work has examined these factors in the prediction of drinking and driving behaviors and currently I am examining response to alcohol as marker of alcohol-risk in African Americans. This semester I am working on collecting data for my dissertation, which is designed to look at universal and culturally specific risk factors that may explain racial differences seen in drinking behavior between African Americans and Caucasians. I’m also teaching Drugs and Behavior (Psych. 2220) to undergraduates.

		Bachelor's Degree: April 1997, University of Pittsburgh Master's Degree: December 2001, University of Missouri-Columbia I have broad research and clinical interests in the areas of neuropsychology and health psychology, with a special interest on the reciprocal influence of neurodevelopmental factors and health behaviors. My dissertation focuses on college freshmen with asthma and examines changes in smoking across their first semester of college. This year, I'm working off-campus for my clinical internship with the VA Illiana Health Care System in Danville, Illinois. I've recently completed a rotation in neuropsychology, which included a primary emphasis on evaluation of dementia and traumatic brain injury. I'll also complete rotations in medical psychology and PTSD outpatient therapy.
