My research project
will address how cultures and communities in the Caribbean interact with and
perceive their natural environment; review the educational outreach methods employed
by natural resource agencies within those communities, and how they incorporate
educational outreach programs in their efforts to inform and gain support from
citizens for management efforts; as well as develop techniques and programs
that will educate and foster citizen participation in conservation and natural
resource management efforts.
