The Govideshvar Gupha and Temple is the place where Jagatguru Adi Shankracharya took his Diksha and scriptural education from his Guru Govind Bhagwatpad. The Gupha (cave) is where Guru Govindpad resided and performed penances. In 1989 the temple was renovated to maintain the excellent carvings on the columns and roof.
