Created cover designs, feature spreads and illustrations for this weekly alternative city magazine.
Worked with the editors of the Music department as the Assistant Art Director to generate content-driven visual art in illustration and layout for the weekly deparment pages.

Commissioned Designer, January 2009 — May 2009
Worked with an editorial team to develop, design and execute a prototype redesign of their special interest publicaiton, Renovation Style.

City and Regional Magazine Association Award Competition
Preliminary Judge, January 2009
Served as a judge in the “General Excellence in Design (by size of circulation)” category by
evaluating the overall design quality of mutiple national publication issues entered in the magazine.

Columbia Missourian
Designer, January 2008 — December 2008
Designed features section for the weekend Missourian. Designed daily 1A and sports front sections on deadline. Currently designing weekend cover stories that include a cover paired with six inside pages. All pages were designed with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.

Reporter, December 2007 — January 2008
Reported on general beat assignments for the daily print edition of the Columbia
Missourian using Falcon editorial. Created multimedia projects using iMovie and Flash.

Show-Me State Games
Graphic Design Intern, May 2008 ­— September 2008
Designed all print publications, posters and advertisements for the Show-Me State Games summer sports festival. Created pamphlets, annual reports and media guides for every SMSG sponsored event including Shape Up Missouri and the Hooah! Sports Challenge.
