Overview

This course is designed to cover the fundamental of the theories applied in geophysics. Geophysical observations consistitue the primary method by which earth scientists explore the earth's interior. We will explore many different aspects of solid earth geophysics including seismology, potential field theory, and thermodynamics. This course is designed for upper level undergraduate geology students who should have some working knowledge of Physics and Calculus. This course will also to cover the basics of plate tectonics and geodynamics.
