REPAIR & MAINTENANCE


You will have approximately 20 minutes to identify 20 tools and replace the sickle section provided.



Materials needed:


1 - sickle section

2 - John Deere sickle section bolts

open end wrenches and/or socket set

1 - sickle bar with a sickle section that is in need of replacement

1 - grinder or cold chisel and hammer

1 - pin punch

1 - blacksmith or ballpeen hammer



Directions:


1. Use the tools provided to remove one riveted sickle section.

2. Use the bolts and wrenches provided to replace with a new sickle section.

3. Label the section that you replaced with your name using the masking tape provided.

4. Hand the completed project in to the contest official.
