Exploring the United States Through Children's Literature
Teaching Kindergarten Students about the 50 States Books
This project is a collaboration between the media specialist, Sandra Meyer, and the kindergarten teacher, Jeanine Hale, at Atkinson Elementary School.
The activities listed for each book were used with the kindergarten class during their weekly 30 minute library time.
Mrs. Meyer connected the state with the letter of the alphabet that the kindergarten class were learning for that specific week.
