Michael E. SykutaMichael E. Sykuta is Associate Professor in the Division of Applied Social Sciences and Director of the Contracting and Organizations Research Institute at the University of Missouri. He also holds a position at the University of Missouri's Trulaske School of Business in the Department of Finance. Sykuta's research focuses on the economics of contracting and organization, law and economics, and political economy, with applications to corporate governance and strategy, financial contracting, vertical coordination, food and agriculture, regulation, and the effects of regulation on markets, organizations, and the structure of contracts. He co-edited "The Elgar Companion on Transaction Cost Economics" and has published in such outlets as Journal of Law and Economics, Journal of Corporate Finance, Managerial and Decision Economics, American Journal of Agricultural Economics, Financial Review, The Antitrust Bulletin, Regulation and other professional and practitioner outlets.
