Personal

My wife and I have three children. Our family life tends to revolve around music, church, sports and Scouting. We have lived in Columbia, MO, for ten years and love the city and the many amenities it offers.

We attend Community United Methodist Church and I serve as the Director of Lay Speaking Ministries for the Mid-State District of the Missouri Conference. I am a member of the University of Missouri Christian Scholars' Forum and serve on the Foundation Board of the Wesley Campus Ministry. I also serve on the United Methodist Church's General Board of Higher Education and Ministry.

Every couple years I get geared up to run a marathon. Thus far I have completed four: Chicago (twice), Des Moines, and the Heart of America here in Columbia. I'm planning on running the Indy Monumental Marathon this fall.

Save a life. Send a net! Nothing But Nets is a campaign supported by the NBA and the United Methodist Church, among others, to help prevent malaria across Africa. Millions of people die each year from malaria - but there's a simple, life-saving solution, and all it takes is $10 to buy a bed net, distribute it to a family, and explain its use. Each gift will be matched by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

You can help by making a secure online donation. For more information, see the Nothing But Nets website.
