July Service Champion: Ray BaconGraduate student, Sara Dickson believes Ray Bacon in Statistics should be "recognized and applauded loudly and with all fanfare and accolades as a true hero to all those who have difficulty pronouncing 'heteroskedasticity' (or understanding what it means.) He welcomes anyone who enters the room and periodically walks up and down the room with a friendly personality and sharp eyes searching for that 'deer in the headlights' look which means, 'I am so confused I don’t even know what to ask.' He is a skilled communicator and translates the concepts into simple English to those who are statistically-challenged. Further, he goes above and beyond his assigned duties by patiently and cheerfully making everyone feel welcome. Way to go, Ray! You make us all shining stars and for that we salute you." |
