Application Procedure for American Students Thank you for your inquiry concerning Graduate Studies in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of
Missouri-Columbia. Before a formal application can be processed, it is necessary that you submit the following. To the MAE Graduate Program:1. A brief statement of your objectives in pursuing graduate study in mechanical and aerospace engineering, indicating the area(s) of your research interest.
2. Three letters of recommendation
on letterhead stationary from faculty and/or current employers.
3. Official copy* of your GRE scores (copies NOT accepted). Only the GRE General Exam is required for admission. (see * below) To the MU Admissions Office:

Columbia, MO 65211 * For the official copies of GRE scores, you must request the ETS office to send your scores to the MU MAE department directly, if you have not done so when you applied for the
tests. You may send the photocopies to the MAE department for information only when you apply. However, we will hold your application process until the official copies are received from the ETS.
