MU Faculty Environmental Research

Environmental Research at MU can be broken down into four broad categories

Biodiversity - covering the distribution, abundance, ecological interactions, and status of living species

Human Dimensions - covering the psychological, sociological, economic and political aspects of environmental issues

Natural Resources - covering the distribution, abundance, maintenance, and status of natural resources like water, forests, soil and economically important species, and the development of biofuels

Pollution - covering the sources and impacts of pollution and the technologies being developed to deal with it

The tables below show faculty, their departments, their particular area of expertise and a recent publication. To find out more about a faculty member, visit the departmental home page and look for the link to faculty web sites. Faculty are arranged in alphabetical order of their departments and then by their last names.

Because environmental problems are interdisciplinary, it may help to look in several of these categories to find the expertise needed to address a particular issue.

(The information was collected from faculty and departmental websites. The lack of an entry, particularly for publications, does not mean the faculty member has not published, just that the information was not listed on the website that I visited. Jan Weaver - Environmental Studies Program Director)
