Operational Design of LANDIS

Operationally, the model operates on a raster GIS format, but is a free-standing program. Implemented processes such as harvest, fuel management, and disturbance can have their own respective input maps. The model can output maps of individual species, individual species age cohorts, forest type, and various disturbance and management history maps.
