Events Calendar


-Assisting with, identifying, and responding to the specific programmatic and academic needs of Black students, making referrals to other university offices/departments as appropriate.

-Promoting and sponsoring events that focuses on Black Culture and heritage.
-Encouraging and participating in collaborative programming with various Black Student Organizations and other University organizations/ departments
-Assisting in the orientation of Black students to the culture of the institution and providing support for those students as they progress through the university.
-Maintaining a resource library of Black cultural and educational resources (books, magazines, journals, videos, etc.).
-Maintaining meeting facilities to accommodate up to 400 persons, a lounge with TV, and 20 station computer lab.
-Serving as a supplement to classroom instruction as needed.
-Providing opportunities and support for African American students and organizations to develop and sponsor appropriate programs that enhances the Black community
-Systematically promoting the participation of African American students for leadership roles in campus governance organizations.
