Students have the opportunity to work on
research projects involving physical, environmental, and geochemical studies
of karstic basins. Opportunties exist for undergraduates
and MS and PhD students.
There are a number of current and
future projects in mind in that would be ideal for M.S. and Ph.D. students.
Potential projects include:
- Determining the response of aquatic organisms to flood events of
various sizes through laboratory and field work;
- Determining sediment and organism entrainment velocities through field
work;
- Determining the role of sediment transport in habitat disruption through
field work;
- Determining which disturbance events are recorded in biogenically
secreted materials through laboratory work;
Students who are potentially interested
in working with me on a graduate
project should feel free to contact me (WicksC@missouri.edu).
