Geology of Missouri's State Parks (GS 1400)
This is an introductory one-credit hour course with no prerequisites that meets of one hour three times a week. This is a WebCT course. The geology of various State Parks (such as Elephant Rocks, Johnson Shut-ins, HaHaTonka, Bennett Spring, Mastodon) will be described and provides a framework for the discussion of the geology of nearly all the other State Parks in Missouri and Missouri, in general.

Environmental Geology with Laboratory (GS1200)
An introductory laboratory science course that describes the causes and distribution of earthquakes, volcanoes, and floods, and of mineral and energy resources.

Geology of Missouri (GS 3100)
The physical, historical, economic, and environmental geology of Missouri is described and interpreted. Prerequisite GS2350.

Karst Hydrology (GS 4110/7110)
An introduction to the karst hydrology. Intended audience is undergraduate and graduate students who are majoring in geology and civil engineering. Prerequisites are the same as for GS 4110. This course addresses issues directly related to understanding flow through karstic (non-Darcian) aquifers. We rely on Bernoulli's equation, an understanding of open-channel flow and pipe-full flow. We progress to use of stochastic and time series models.

Low Temperature Geochemistry (GS 4300/GS 7300)
Introduction to the chemical alteration of rock-forming minerals in weathering environments and to factors controlling the chemical composition of subsurface water. Prerequisite CHEM 1330.

Applied Numerical Analysis (GS8800).
Application of statistics and data analysis tools to data from natural sciences.
