About the Fifteenth Edition
To reinforce student learning, the Fifteenth Edition now includes two independent practice sets, the City of Smithville and the City of Bingham. These easy to use cumulative computer problems follow chapters 1 through 10 and 12 of the text and provide students with excellent hands-on experience in recording a wide variety of transactions similar to those of an actual small city. In addition, exportable spreadsheets facilitate preparation of all basic financial statements required by GASBS 34, as well as individual fund financial statements for each fund type discussed in the text. The new software is Web-based and 3.1 incorporates many enhancements to make the software more user-friendly. These include compatibility with most computer platforms and operating systems. Also, the software is easily transportable so students can work on their project either at home or on campus. The City of Smithville/City of Bingham software is downloadable from the McGraw-Hill Website for the book: http:/highered.mcgraw-hill.com/sites/0073379603.
