About Me


A. Cooper Drury (PhD 1997, Arizona State University) is Associate Dean of the College of Arts & Science and professor of Political Science at the University of Missouri.

Professor Drury's research and teaching focus on foreign policy and international political economy. He received the Quincy Wright Distinguished Scholar Award in 2013 and is the three-time winner of the Klingberg Award for Outstanding Faculty Paper at the ISA-Midwest conference.

Professor Drury has trained more than a fifteen doctoral students and received the University of Missouri’s Gold Chalk Award for excellence in graduate education and mentoring.

He was the 2016 ISA Program Chair with Amanda Murdie. He is also a past-president of both the Foreign Policy Analysis section and Midwest region of the International Studies Association; he also served as a member of the Association’s executive committee.

In his spare time, Professor Drury spends time with his wife, two boys, and two cats. He is also an avid cyclist.
